Enlightenment

Enlightenment is often taken as a condition of supreme joy. But it is also that of supreme sadness.

The point is not the joy or sadness, but the supremeness. The supremeness. The intensest devotion to the closest familiarity with each and everything is real living. This is what Buddhism teaches.
